We Uphold these Core Principles as a Foundation for Expanding Awareness and Creating Possibilities
-
Relationship is the crucible for our work, a space of trust and safety that allows for new perspectives, new conversations, and new possibilities. Conversation means “changing together.”
-
People skills aren’t the soft skills; they are the critical skills. We achieve results from actions coordinated between people. Developing people (including ourselves) is always our best investment. Handle with care.
-
Leadership is about creating a space where commitment and accountability are chosen from a place of care. It invites a sense of connection that transcends self-interest and allows us to find fulfillment and purpose.
-
It’s all made up. We are unique in that we have imagination. We create our world by creating meaning and by acting on what we believe to be true or possible. Possibilities are futures we declare into existence, that weren’t going to happen anyway. That’s empowerment!
-
Perspective is everything. Each of us looks out to a different world, filtered by our own uniqueness. Embracing new perspectives opens up new horizons. But first we need to realize our own perspective (disguised as reality).
-
Lightness is the ability to look at situations from multiple perspectives. It’s a way of being that allows us to remain centered and responsive vs. reactive. Heaviness, or significance, involves attachment to a certain outcome and becomes problematic when life unfolds otherwise. A mood of lightness lets us examine serious matters more effectively, as the fluidity of multiple perspectives reveals a broader range of responses. The mood of lightness is often described as being in the flow.
- We are greater than the sum of all our parts. We are complex beings with many facets. Right brain, left brain, emotional, physical, cognitive, spiritual. Too often we leave the best of ourselves behind, as if the purpose at hand only calls for one part. We are greater than that. Self-awareness is huge.
